The ready-to-use solution in Freka-Clyss® is hyperosmolar.
Hyperosmolar means that the solution's salt content is higher than the body's fluids. Thus, after ingestion, more water enters the rectum, significantly softening the stool there. This creates a laxative effect.

Application

Generally, one Freka-Clyss® (120 ml) per application is sufficient for adults.
For special clinical requirements, 2-3 sachets may be used consecutively.

Notes
For single use only! Reuse may result in microbiological contamination of the solution.

If you have known or suspected damage to the mucous membranes in the anus or rectum, you should not use Freka-Clyss®.

16.00 g sodium dihydrogen phosphate 2 H2O
6.00 g sodium monohydrogen phosphate 12 H2O
0.10 g p-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester
0.01 g p-hydroxybenzoic acid propyl ester
