In a healthy vagina, an acidic environment provides natural protection against infection. Acidifying the vaginal environment with lactic acid supports the growth of the typical "good" lactobacilli (lactic acid bacteria), which essentially make up a healthy vaginal flora. At the same time, acidification with lactic acid slows the proliferation of "pathogenic" pathogens.
Lactic acid can therefore be used as a preventative measure in women prone to recurring vaginal infections (e.g., bacterial vaginosis). Vagisan Lactic Acid are vaginal suppositories containing a lactic acid-sodium lactate mixture. They are used to maintain and restore a natural acidity level (pH) in the vagina.
A vaginal inflammation usually occurs due to an imbalance in the vaginal flora, caused e.g. B. through frequent use of antibiotics, hormone fluctuations, weakened immune system, etc. In a healthy vagina, an acidic environment provides natural protection against infection. The acidification of the vaginal environment with lactic acid supports the growth of the vaginal-typical "good" lactobacilli (lactic acid bacteria), which essentially make up a healthy vaginal flora.
At the same time, the acidification with lactic acid slows down the multiplication of the "disease-causing" pathogens. Lactic acid can therefore be used for prevention in women with a tendency to recurring vaginal infections (e.g. bacterial vaginosis).
Vagisan Lactic Acid are vaginal suppositories that contain a mixture of lactic acid and sodium lactate. They are used to maintain and restore a natural acidity (pH value) in the vagina. This is normally between 3.8 and 4.4.
With Vagisan lactic acid suppositories, the vaginal environment is quickly and effectively acidified with adjustment to the normal pH value of the vagina. In this way, alkaline body fluids such as menstrual blood or semen (whose pH value is above 7) are quickly “collected”. This is particularly important for women who are prone to regularly recurring (recurring) vaginal infections.
