Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is one of the most common causes of visual impairment and blindness in the western world in people over 65 years of age. The ongoing regeneration of the visual cells characterizes the intensive metabolism of the eye, which consumes a lot of oxygen. Therefore, the choroid of the eye is the most oxygen-rich tissue in the human body!
At the same time, the combination of light and oxygen means that the oxidative destruction of organic substances is inevitable. In order to keep this “oxidative stress” as low as possible, the photoreceptor cells and the surrounding tissue must be adequately supplied with antioxidants. Clinical studies show that an increased intake of certain micronutrients has a positive influence on the development and progression of age-related macular degeneration. -
Take preferably 2 x 2 capsules daily, morning and evening with meals.
