The soybean (Glycine max) comes from East Asia and has been cultivated there as a staple food for almost 5,000 years. In addition to lecithin, protein and vitamins, it contains valuable secondary plant substances from the isoflavone group.
Soy isoflavones promote well-being and the metabolic balance of women, especially during and after the menopause, by supporting the natural hormonal changes.
Japanese women who traditionally have a soy-rich diet therefore experience their menopause much more balanced than European women.
Each soy isoflavone capsule contains 40 mg of soy isoflavones together with vitamins C and E, B vitamins, folic acid and calcium. Soy isoflavone capsules are therefore a useful dietary supplement for women during and after menopause.
Soy isoflavones are obtained from non-genetically modified soybeans. The raw material used to manufacture the capsule shell is obtained from vegetable cellulose and is gelatin-free.
