The complex, formed by combining the curcumin molecule with a phospholipid, mimics the natural way fat-soluble curcumin is absorbed and metabolized. The bioavailability here is 29 times higher than with conventional curcumin. The cell membranes can be overcome better, which allows penetration into the cell interior.
