    • with antioxidants, vitamins C and E, to protect against oxidative processes
    • with important trace elements, copper and zinc, for the regeneration of the visual cells

Our eyes are under special stress every day. Work-related computer use, watching TV and driving at night, but also lack of sleep, alcohol and cigarettes all put stress on the eyes.

This unhealthy lifestyle also increases the build-up of harmful free radicals. Free radicals attack the sensitive structures of the sensory cells and impair their functionality. The consequence can be, for example, premature wear and tear of the point of sharpest vision, also known as the macula.

    What are Free Radicals?

Free radicals are highly reactive particles that arise from oxygen molecules due to the metabolic processes in our body but also through the action of light. To break down these free radicals, the body has its own antioxidant protection system, in which vitamins C and E, the trace elements zinc and copper and the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin play a decisive role.

    Is my daily food enough?

A balanced diet with a high proportion of fruit and vegetables normally ensures our need for these micronutrients. In the case of many old-age diseases, however, there can be considerable gaps in care. This is especially true for age-related macular degeneration.

Nomoadult AMD with the specially formulated micronutrient mixture for the eye is balanced and optimally combined for the metabolism of the eye.

The carotionides lutein and zeaxanthin are found in particularly high concentrations in the center of the retina, the so-called macula, also known as the yellow spot. At this point of sharpest vision, the visual cells are particularly numerous. Lutein and zeaxanthin protect the eye with its sensitive cell structures from oxidative processes.

The vitamins C and E are essential components of the antioxidant protective system and support in conjunction with the essential trace elements zinc and copper, the regeneration of photoreceptor cells.
