SymbioLact® pur is a dietary supplement that contains biotin and 2 different strains of lactic acid producing bacteria. These bacteria are among the representatives of the intestinal flora. The bacteria contained in SymbioLact® pur are freeze-dried. As soon as they come into contact with water, they can absorb it, become active and multiply.
In addition to lactic acid bacteria, SymbioLact® pure contains the vitamin biotin (30 μg per bag). Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin and plays an important role in the metabolism of the body's cells.
Very active tissues such as the mucous membranes of the body need biotin. The intestinal lining is the largest lining in the body. It regenerates completely every 2 - 3 days.
In order to be able to maintain this enormous metabolic performance in the long term, it is necessary that the body is well supplied with all the nutritional components.
Most of the biotin comes from our daily diet. Smaller amounts are produced by the intestinal flora and contribute to the total amount and thus supplement the daily amount of biotin that is absorbed from food. An increased need for biotin can arise in particular when taking various medications, such as antibiotics.
