Eye drops with artificial tears for dry eyes
Eye drops, which replace the body's own tear fluid, are often used for dry eyes. These artificial tears have an effect similar to wetting agents. They moisten the surface of the eye in dry eyes, form a protective tear film on the cornea and help to balance the fluid balance.
Lacri-Vision® is a sterile, medium viscosity aqueous solution containing 0.32% hypromellose. Lacri-Vision® refreshes and soothes stressed eyes and increases their ability to glide. Lacri-Vision® has a protective, moisturizing effect that counteracts the feeling of dryness caused by environmental influences such as e.g. B. air conditioners, tobacco smoke, dust, irritation from sun exposure or fatigue and long screen work, relieves quickly and long-lastingly. The viscosity-increasing substance hypromellose forms an optically clear protective and lubricating film on the eye, which takes over the physiological functions of the missing tear fluid. Due to its viscosity, Lacri-Vision® has a long residence time and thus enables a comfortable frequency of use. Lacri-Vision® has the following chemical-physical properties: it contains a clear liquid which is in all parts soluble in water. There are no precipitations of metallic salts or organic residues that can get into the body's tear fluid. The pH value is perfectly compatible with the eye tissue and the tear fluid. Therefore, Lacri-Vision® is particularly well tolerated and quickly eliminates the annoying feeling of dryness in the eyes.
