Modulen ™ IBD is suitable for the dietary treatment of Crohn's disease in children from 5 years of age (after consultation with the attending physician) and adults. As part of a nutritional therapy with Modulen ™ IBD, it is possible to alleviate symptoms in the acute episode (colicky pain, fever, nausea and diarrhea) and to improve the inadequate nutritional status associated with the disease. Modulen ™ IBD is primarily designed as a sip feed; however, feeding through a feeding tube is also possible.
Dietetic food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). Modulen ™ IBD is a metabolism-adapted balanced diet in powder form for exclusive or supplementary nutrition.
Modules ™ IBD is reimbursable in the event of a lack of or limited ability to provide adequate normal nutrition in accordance with the Medicinal Products Directive (AMR), Chapter I, of December 18, 2008 / January 22, 2009, resolution of the joint federal committee.
