The valuable ingredients of the marigold blossoms can promote wound healing and inhibit inflammation. Marigold tea is therefore traditionally used as a gargle for inflammation of the mucous membranes in the mouth or throat and for external wound treatment. Ailments from poorly healing wounds, minor burns and skin rashes are alleviated by poultices made from marigold tea.
-
Dosage instructions and type of application: Unless otherwise prescribed, the mouth area is rinsed or gargled 2 - 3 times a day with a still warm infusion. For use in wounds, poultices are prepared 2-3 times a day with an infusion.

Note: If the symptoms of mild inflammation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat last longer than 1 week, recur or unclear symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted.
In the case of severe reddening of the wound edges in large, weeping or purulent infected wounds, consultation with a doctor is required. Contraindications: There are no adequate studies on the use of marigold blossoms during pregnancy and breastfeeding or in children under 12 years of age.
