Salus Horsetail Tea 75 g

adults, including the elderly and children aged 12 and over, should drink 1 cup of the following tea infusion 3–4 times daily: Pour 150 ml of boiling water over 1–3 teaspoons (approx. 1–3 g) of horsetail and let it steep, covered, for about 10–15 minutes. Then strain. Ensure adequate additional fluid intake.

External application:
Adults and adolescents apply moist compresses one to several times daily or apply an infusion prepared as follows to the affected area of ​​skin one to several times daily: Boil 10 teaspoons (approx. 10 g) of horsetail in 1 liter of water. After sufficient cooling, the decoction is used to make moist compresses or to apply to the wound.

For internal use: Do not use for longer than 2 to 4 weeks. If symptoms persist for more than 1 week, recur periodically, worsen, or if symptoms such as fever, pain when urinating, cramping pain, acute urinary retention, or blood in the urine occur, a doctor must be consulted.

External application: If symptoms persist for more than 1 week, or if symptoms worsen and/or signs of skin inflammation with redness, warmth and/or purulent coating appear, a doctor must be consulted.

Notes

Horsetail must not be used:

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to horsetail (equine herb).
• Internal use: for fluid retention (edema) due to impaired heart and/or kidney function
• when fluid intake is recommended to be reduced due to existing medical conditions

Due to insufficient data, use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.
