- from the desire to have a child until the end of the 12th week
- contains four important ingredients: folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and iodine.
From the time you want to have children until the end of the 12th week of pregnancy, the need for folic acid increases significantly. The vitamin is particularly needed because, among other things, it has a function in cell division and contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy.
In the Folio 1 basic tablets, folic acid is combined with 9 micrograms of vitamin B12. The two vitamins are dependent on each other in the methylation cycle, so an adequate vitamin B12 intake is just as necessary as a sufficient folic acid status.
Vitamin D3 supports the maintenance of normal bone and muscle functions and contributes to a normally functioning immune system. Folio 1 basic contains 20 micrograms of vitamin D3. The vitamin D3 in the Folio 1 basic tablets is extracted from sheep's wool and then purified to such a high degree that no traces of animal DNA can be detected.
Last but not least, Folio 1 basic contains 150 micrograms of iodine. As a central component of the thyroid hormones, iodine is essential for their production and contributes to normal thyroid function. Iodine also helps the nervous system and energy metabolism to function normally.
