  • Doppelherz System Pregnancy & Mother (DHA, EPA, Folic Acid) 60 cap & tab provides the modern folic acid-nutrient combination for women who want to have children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. It contirbutes an extensive combination of nutrients during pregnancy in order to cover the supply of nutrients or an increased need.

    • With 400 µg folic acid, vitamins and minerals
    • With 225 mg DHA and 45 mg EPA in high purity according to a special manufacturing process in PureMax TM quality 1
    • Omega-3 fatty acid DHA as a contribution to the normal development

Women should by no means simply consume twice the amount of calories during pregnancy. On the other hand, the selection of healthy foods and an adequate supply of vitamins, minerals and valuable omega-3 fatty acids are of great importance.

With a healthy lifestyle and a diet that is adapted to the special needs before, during pregnancy and when breastfeeding, you can make an important contribution to a good pregnancy and the healthy development of your child.

Folic acid - important for the closure of the neural tube
Women who want to become pregnant should definitely get rich in folate with e.g. Eat leafy vegetables or broccoli. Unfortunately, it is not easy to meet the increased need for folate through food, so that the majority of women start a pregnancy already undersupplied.

Folic acid is particularly important for the neural tube closure of the embryo. The neural tube, the preliminary stage of the central nervous system, is closed between the 22nd and 28th day of pregnancy. Since some women do not even know at this early stage that they are pregnant, it explains why an adequate supply of folic acid is urgently recommended even when planning to have children.

For the baby's healthy development, sufficient iodine should get into the child's bloodstream via the placenta. In fact, despite a balanced diet, most people do not consume enough iodine because our foods contain too little iodine. Good sources of iodine would be sea fish and seafood or foods with added iodized salt.

Omega-3 fatty acids - DHA for the eyes
The fatty acid DHA is essential for the healthy development of the baby's eyes. It is already built into the womb, so women who want to have children should already remember to replenish the DHA stores in good time for optimal care of the child.

The valuable omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are directly contained in high-fat cold water fish such as sardines, tuna or salmon. But vegetable oils such as linseed or walnut oil are also sources of EPA and DHA after the body has converted the precursors they contain.
