Wild garlic is a native leek plant and grows as a wild plant in moist, humus-rich, shady deciduous forests. Wild garlic leaves have the highest levels of sulfur-active compounds. These can reach up to 7.8 mg of sulfur per 100 g of dry matter.
Added to this are the high natural, plant-based contents of iron, magnesium, manganese and adenosine. The high content of sulphur and cysteine makes wild garlic a chelating agent for toxic metals and supports the elimination of pollutants by breaking up the pollutant deposits.
