  • Artelac Nighttime Gel is a good overnight supplement for all people who suffer from dry eyes. The gel provides the cornea and conjunctiva with long-lasting moisture and protects the surface of the eye. It can be used in addition to thinner tear substitutes such as Artelac Splash Eye Drops

    Very dry eyes - due to chronic disorders of the tear film - can often be painful or tear excessively. In watery eyes, the fatty layer of the tear film tears, the aqueous phase "runs out" and the eyes water.

    Since it is a thick gel, many patients prefer to use Artelac Nighttime Gel in the evening before going to bed or in the morning after getting up. Many patients find the gel very pleasant and like to use it in addition to a thinner tear substitute (e.g. Artelac Rebalance). The gel has a slightly cooling effect.

    Artelac Nighttime Gel is used to moisten and relieve very dry eyes, because the main ingredients contained in the gel provide the cornea and conjunctiva with long-lasting moisture.
    The gel is also based on the structure of the natural tear film and contains aqueous as well as mucous and fatty (lipid) components. Due to this special composition, the gel complements all three layers of the tear film.
    Artelac Nighttime Gel alleviates the symptoms of very dry and watery eyes.

    How often should Artelac Nighttime Gel be used?
    Put one drop of Artelac Nighttime Gel in the eye 15 minutes before bed (if you prefer to use it at night), or use 3 to 5 drops or more of gel a day. If you use Artelac Nighttime Gel during the day, wait until you can see clearly again before using machines or driving.

    How does Artelac Nighttime Gel help?
    Artelac Nighttime Gel has been developed to supplement the tear film including the important outer lipid layer. It provides comprehensive symptom relief and binds moisture on the surface of the eye. It moisturizes and soothes the eyes while providing long-lasting symptom relief by locking in moisture. It is a good product for anyone with dry eye symptoms such as: B. tired, stressed, burning and / or watery eyes and a foreign body sensation. You can also use this product as a supplement to your previous eye moisturizers and thus benefit from additional protection.

    How to store Artelac Nighttime Gel?
    The product can be used for 6 weeks after first opening.

  • Always wash your hands before use. Before each use, remove the protective cap from the tip of the tube.
    Tilt your head back slightly. With one finger of your free hand, gently pull your lower eyelid downwards. Hold the tube vertically above your eye with the drip tip pointing down. Slightly squeeze the tube to put a drop of gel in the eye.
    Put the protective cap back on the tube after each use. Then close your eye and slowly move it in all directions. Blink to distribute the gel drop as well as possible on the surface of the eye.
    When using Artelac Nighttime Gel with contact lenses, these must be removed and reinserted 15 minutes after application.

    Artelac Nighttime Gel leads to a short-term clouding of vision immediately after use, which is why the product is preferably used overnight.
