  • The real chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is a species of the sunflower family. Originally distributed in southern and eastern Europe, it is now found in practically all of Europe. 

    The real chamomile was named the first medicinal plant of the year by the Association of German Druggists (VDD) in 1987. 

    It was also voted Medicinal Plant of the Year 2002.

  • 1 heaped tablespoon full (approx. 3 g) of chamomile flowers is poured over with boiling water (approx. 150ml), covered and after about 5 - 10 minutes poured through a tea strainer if necessary. For drinking, gargling, rinsing, inhaling and for compressing after making a tea infusion. For the preparation of baths.
