The Story of Eucerin starts from Hamburg, Germany

For over a century Beiersdorf, the company behind the Eucerin brand, has stood for breakthrough innovations in skincare products. Already in its beginnings, research and product development formed an inseparable unit with dermatological research.

The brand Eucerin has its origin in a pharmacy, led by Paul C. Beiersdorf in Hamburg.

In 1882, Paul C. Beiersdorf applied for a patent for a new type of association, laying the foundation for Beiersdorf. Eight years later, he sold the company to Oscar Troplowitz, also a pharmacist, who manufactured products under the brand name Beiersdorf. Through close cooperation with the pioneering dermatologist Paul Gerson Unna, these products are based on the latest scientific findings of skin research.

This combination of research and product development continues to this day like a thread through our history.
