Her tablet contains Folic Acid Plus¹, a combination of folic acid and L-methylfolate. L-methylfolate is a form of folate that can be used directly by the body and helps to increase folate levels.
Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the unborn baby, even before conception.¹ The neural tube closes around the fourth week of pregnancy, when the pregnancy may not yet be detected. Therefore, it is important that she takes folic acid before conception . The formula also contains zinc², which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction², as well as selenium and iodine.
His tablet is specifically formulated to support sperm production² and normal reproduction². It contains zinc²,⁴ and selenium³, which contribute to normal fertility², reproduction², maintenance of normal testosterone levels⁴ and normal sperm production³ – important factors for conception. ¹ Supplemental folic acid intake increases folate levels in pregnant women. Low folate levels in pregnant women are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Women are therefore advised to take an additional 400 μg of folic acid daily for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. Neural tube defects are caused by several risk factors. Changing one risk factor may or may not have a positive effect.
