Salus Floradix with Iron is a liquid oral iron preparation in a 700 ml bottle. It contains iron(II), vitamin C and natural herbal extracts, with a pleasant taste and no alcohol or artificial preservatives.

The source describes its use for increased iron requirements when there is a recognisable risk of iron deficiency, including increased iron loss during menstruation and increased requirements during pregnancy, breastfeeding or recovery after illness.

This is the successor to Floradix with Iron, PZN 00382102.

Directions

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 10 and over take 45 ml daily, either 22.5 ml twice daily (morning and evening) or 15 ml three times daily (morning, midday and evening). According to the source, 45 ml provides 36.8 mg of usable iron(II).

Children aged 6 to 10: 15 ml twice daily. Use in children under 6 is not intended. Shake before use. Best taken chilled, half an hour before meals.
