Always use Freka-Clyss exactly as directed in this package leaflet.

If you are not sure, please ask your doctor or pharmacist. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is: generally, 1 Freka-Clyss (120 ml) per application is sufficient for adults. For special clinical requirements, 2-3 consecutive sachets are used.

For rectal use:

1. Grease the cap and tube with Vaseline.
2. Manually open the closure by breaking off the tip and carefully insert the tube as far as possible into the rectum, with the patient lying on their side with their legs raised.
3. Slowly empty the Freka-Clyss using gentle pressure. The 15 cm long insertion tube ensures a deep penetration of the enema fluid, resulting in reliable and rapid emptying of the bowel (usually within 10-20 minutes). The flexibility of the tube and the rounded cone of the closure piece prevent injury to the intestinal mucosa.

Note:
The bag does not need to be completely emptied. It contains more liquid than is necessary for effective use. Therefore, some liquid will remain in the bag. For single use only! If reused, there is a risk of microbiological contamination of the solution. This product contains DEHP. The enema can be warmed before use, up to a maximum of body temperature (e.g., in a water bath).
