How to use this medicine
Always take Epsom salts exactly as instructed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, adults drink 2 to 3 teaspoons (10 to 15g) of Epsom salt dissolved in approx. 250ml of water. For a quick bowel evacuation, 1 to 2 tablespoons (20 to 30g) of Epsom salt are drunk dissolved in approx. Children over 6 years of age receive half the dose.

If you use more medicine than you should
and symptoms arise due to the higher dose, please notify your doctor. If necessary, the latter can decide on the necessary measures. The side effects listed under side effects may be more pronounced. Overdosing with Epsom salt can lead to the withdrawal of water with electrolyte imbalances and magnesium poisoning. The therapy has to be based on the symptoms.
