  • Note for the first application: At the beginning of the application, there may be a slight to severe burning sensation due to the low pH value (pH 3.8) of the lactic acid treatment and an increased sensitivity of the vagina. With increasing recovery of the vaginal flora, this should no longer occur.
    functionality Lactic acid bacteria ensure healthy vaginal flora in the vagina and prevent harmful bacteria from settling and spreading. If the vaginal environment contains too few lactic acid bacteria, the vaginal pH value increases and bacteria can settle better and spread more quickly. Bacterial vaginal infections are accompanied by various symptoms such as itching, burning, dryness, increased discharge or an unpleasant smell. Severe untreated infections can lead to inflammation and infertility. In pregnant women, ascending infections can trigger premature labor, ruptured membranes or possibly premature birth. The ELANEE lactic acid treatment has a pH value below 4.0 and allows the vaginal flora to normalize.
    Application:
    Observe cleaner conditions (e.g. washing hands). Unscrew the gel tube and pierce the seal of the tube opening with the inverted cap. Just before use, take the applicator out of the foil packaging and screw it onto the opened gel tube. Slowly squeeze the lactic acid gel out of the tube until the screwed-on applicator stops (approx. 2.5 ml = 1/2 applicator filling). DANGER! Do not push any gel past the plunger! Carefully twist the half-full applicator off the tube. Position yourself on your back, preferably in the evening before bedtime, with your legs slightly drawn up and a towel under your pelvic floor area. Insert the filled applicator about 2-3 cm into the vagina like a tampon. Squeeze the gel completely out of the applicator and into the vagina by slowly pressing the plunger. With sensitive mucous membranes, the gel with its low pH value can temporarily cause a slight burning sensation. Dispose of the used applicator in the household waste and repeat the above steps with a new applicator on the following tabs. Tip: After using the lactic acid gel, it is recommended to wear a panty liner/pad, as increased discharge may occur.
    Just before use, remove the applicator from the foil packaging and screw it onto the opened gel tube. Squeeze the lactic acid gel out of the tube until the screwed-on applicator stops.
    Insert the filled applicator about 2-3 cm into the vagina like a tampon. Squeeze the gel completely out of the applicator and into the vagina by slowly pressing the plunger. Then dispose of the used applicator.
