Application

Directions from the supplied product information: Adults and children aged 6 years and over should initially apply a thin layer to the affected inflamed skin once or twice daily and rub in gently. As symptoms improve, once-daily use is usually sufficient. The supplied source specifies a maximum treatment duration of 2 weeks. Avoid application over more than one tenth of the body surface.

Warnings: Do not use if allergic to hydrocortisone or any other ingredient, with certain skin diseases such as syphilis or tuberculosis, viral skin diseases, fungal infections, vaccination reactions, rosacea, acne vulgaris, steroid acne or open wounds. Do not apply to mucous membranes or near the mouth or eyes. Contains cetostearyl alcohol and potassium sorbate. Ingredients

One gram of cream for application to the skin contains 2.5 mg of hydrocortisone as the active ingredient. The other ingredients are glycerol 85%; [(Z)-Octadec-9-en-1-yl] oleate; emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol (type A) (emulsifier); medium-chain triglycerides; octyldodecanol; glycerol monostearate; dimethicone (350 cSt); potassium sorbate (preservative); carbomer (40,000–60,000 cP); sodium edetate; trometamol; purified water.
