    Lutein belongs to the group of carotenoids. The yellow carotenoid lutein occurs in particularly high concentrations in the human eye. Lutein is found in all green leafy vegetables and in various types of fruit.

    Lutein capsules contain 6 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg of lutein and zeaxanthin are found in particularly high concentrations in the yellow spot in the retina of the eye. The two carotenoids are selectively enriched in the yellow spot.

    Description of the raw materials The lutein contained in lutein capsules is FloraGLO Lutein® (FloraGLO is a registered trademark of Kemin Industries, Inc.), a high quality vegetable raw material standardized to free lutein and zeaxanthin. The carotenoids are obtained from the marigold (Tagetes erecta). The gelatine used in the hard gelatine capsules is BSE / TSE-tested pharmaceutical gelatine.
