Equipped with extensive accessories, the Emser® Inhaler Compact Plus offers patients aged 2 and older the opportunity to carry out their inhalation therapy easily, safely, and with greater flexibility.

Inhalation is recommended for upper and lower respiratory tract conditions, such as allergic asthma, acute or chronic bronchitis, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), cystic fibrosis, or acute sinusitis.

The Emser® Inhalator Compact Plus is a modern inhalation device that nebulizes inhalation solutions or liquid medications into the finest droplets. This is achieved through the vibrations of a membrane inside the device. This allows the active ingredients to reach even the finest branches of the bronchi during inhalation, where they can act directly on the mucous membranes.

With regular use, inhalation therapy can alleviate acute respiratory illnesses and their accompanying symptoms, and support healing.

For colds, natural solutions, such as isotonic solutions made from natural Emser salt, are very well suited for inhalation. They relieve symptoms and can sometimes prevent the cold from worsening.

For diagnosed chronic respiratory diseases, inhalation therapy should always be discussed with your doctor. The Emser® Inhaler Compact Plus can also be used for inhaling medications prescribed by a doctor; please refer to the instructions for use.

Variable Nebulization Rate

The new Emser® Inhaler Compact Plus boasts a variable nebulization rate of ≥ 0.2 ml/min and ≥ 0.4 ml/min. The advantage: It can be individually adjusted to different needs. Depending on the setting, the device nebulizes the solution at a rate of at least 0.2 ml or 0.4 ml per minute. The lower setting ensures a moderate, even absorption – ideal for children, sensitive airways, or smaller amounts of medication. The higher setting allows for faster administration, for example, for adults or when a larger amount of medication needs to be administered in a shorter time. This allows the inhalation to be optimally tailored to the individual user and the treatment situation.

New: Flexible swivel up to 45°

Thanks to the optimized nebulizer head, the Emser® Inhalator Compact Plus can be moved up to 45 degrees to the side or up and down without the inhalation solution leaking. This makes it more flexible to use, allowing the user to operate the device in a more comfortable position, which significantly facilitates application even for those with limited mobility. This allows the user's posture to be individually adjusted, for example, for inhalation with children or those requiring care.

Intelligent Aerosol Technology Stops Nebulization During Exhalation

A brand-new feature of the Emser® Inhaler Compact Plus is its intelligent aerosol technology, which stops nebulization during exhalation. The inhaler is equipped with a smart control system that detects exhalation and interrupts nebulization for that moment. Why is this beneficial? This technological innovation not only offers more comfortable use but also greater efficiency and effectiveness. Otherwise, the medication would be released unused into the air during exhalation. Consequently, this technology can increase the absorption of the active ingredient into the bronchi.

Flexible and Ready for Use Anywhere for the Whole Family

The Emser® Inhaler Compact Plus is not only practical and comfortable to use, but for regular users, it is also an ideal complement to the traditional inhalation routine with a stand-alone unit with an integrated compressor. The quiet Emser® Inhaler Compact Plus can be used anytime, anywhere, thanks to its built-in rechargeable battery, allowing for flexible use without a power outlet. The practical self-cleaning function performs an intensive cleaning as needed, removing coarser dirt and medication residues.
Application

1. Preparing the Emser Inhaler Compact Plus:

1.1 Slide the medication container with the nebulizer into the housing from the front until it clicks into place.

1.2 Open the medication container by releasing the lever and flipping the lid upwards.

1.3 Pour the medication and/or saline solution into the medication container. Close the lid until the lever clicks.

1.4 Attach the desired accessory (mask, mouthpiece, or child mask) to the medication container.

1.5 Place the device against your mouth (mouthpiece) or hold the mask over your mouth and nose. Inhalation can now begin.

2. Inhalation with the Emser Inhaler Compact Plus

Inhale deeply and slowly through your mouth or nose. Hold your breath briefly and then exhale calmly. Hold the device as vertically as possible. Please also refer to the package insert for the medication you are using.

An inhalation of the isotonic Emser salt solution should last approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The device has an automatic shut-off function when the liquid is almost gone.

3. After Inhalation

Detach the used accessories, such as the mask or mouthpiece, from the medication container. Then, remove the medication container and nebulizer from the device by pressing the button on the back of the device and pulling the medication container horizontally forward.

After each use, the nebulizer with its container, as well as the accessories, should be cleaned for approximately 5 minutes with water no warmer than 40°C (ideally distilled). For cleaning the medication container, please also follow the self-cleaning instructions described in the user manual. Afterward, dry the individual parts with a soft cloth and allow them to dry completely on a clean, absorbent surface. Only then should you reassemble the parts and place the device in a dry, sealed container (see also the user manual).
... It is recommended to disinfect the individual parts regularly. You can disinfect the nebulizer, medication container, and mouthpiece in two different ways: with ethyl alcohol or in boiling water. The masks, however, must be cleaned with ethyl alcohol. Please refer to the instructions for use for details.
