Herpotherm is a patented medical product for the local treatment of accompanying symptoms of herpes such as burning, tingling, itching or tightness. Herpotherm works exclusively through concentrated heat and completely without chemical substances. Herpotherm is therefore also suitable for pregnant women, allergy sufferers and children (own use from 12 years). The application of concentrated heat (local hyperthermia) is a promising physical principle of action, which is based on the brief, concentrated effect of heat on a narrowly defined area of skin. At ambient temperatures of approx. 50 °C, herpes viruses are thermolabile. In direct contact with this temperature, they are inactivated. This can prevent the herpes virus from multiplying.
The application of Herpotherm is discreet and leaves no traces on the skin. Due to the completely chemical-free treatment, unwanted side effects of tablets and ointments can be avoided, making Herpotherm ideal for pregnant women, allergy sufferers and children over 12 years of age. - The application of Herpotherm is very simple. First, the device is placed on the affected skin area and gently pressed. After pressing the push button, the ceramic contact surface heats up to approx. 51° C. This is maintained for a period of three seconds before Herpotherm switches off automatically.
There must be a break of at least 10 seconds between treatments. Do not use on the eyes. Depending on sensitivity, the treatment temperature may be perceived as uncomfortable. Sensitive people may experience a brief reddening of the skin after application. No simultaneous local application together with topical ointments, creams and gels. A necessary battery change is indicated by the LED flashing 3 times and the acoustic signal beeping 3 times. Do not use the device if it is damaged or if there is an obvious malfunction. -
