  • Aurica Oak Bark Tea is a herbal medicine

    - for diarrhea
    - for inflammation in the mouth and throat
    - for wound treatment

Aurica oak bark tea consists of the dried and crushed pieces of oak bark. The oak bark has always been a valued home remedy that is used in many ways. Your tea is drunk for gastrointestinal problems like diarrhea and for better digestion. Because of its astringent effect, which prevents bacteria and germs from spreading further, oak bark tea is also used externally for inflammatory skin diseases to promote scab formation. It has also always been used as a bath or for compresses against rashes, minor burns and injuries that do not heal well. As a gargle and for rinsing, it also relieves inflammation in the mouth and throat.

  • 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk twice a day in the case of diarrhea: Pour 150 ml of water over ½ teaspoon of oak bark tea (approx. 1.5 g), for approx. Heat to the boil for 10-15 minutes and then pass through a tea strainer if necessary.
For rinsing, gargling and preparing envelopes, an infusion is made in the specified amount or the required multiple as follows: Pour approx. 100 ml of water over 2 g of oak bark and let it stay for approx.

To prepare full and partial baths, 5 g of oak bark per 1 l of water or a multiple thereof are used.

In the case of diarrhea, replacement of fluids and salts (electrolytes) must be taken into account as the most important therapeutic measure.

If you have diarrhea that lasts longer than 2 days or are accompanied by blood or increased temperature, a doctor should be consulted.
Diarrheal diseases in infants and small children generally require consultation with a doctor.

If the symptoms of mild inflammation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat last longer than 1 week, recur or unclear symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted.

Consultation with a doctor is required if the wound edges are very red, or if the wounds are oozing or infected with pus.

    Inflammation of the gums:
If the gums are inflamed, a gargle made from lukewarm oak bark tea, which is used every three hours, helps.

    Oak bark against acne:

Acne symptoms are alleviated if the affected areas are dabbed several times a day with lukewarm oak bark tea.

    Athlete's foot:

An evening footbath counteracts athlete's foot. Bathe your feet in warm oak bark tea for about 15 minutes, then do not dry them off but let them air dry.
